April 8th, it’s SHINee’s Jonghyun‘s birthday (>‿◠)✌

Today is Kim Jonghyun’s 26th birthday (27th in korean age). He is a member of the Korean boy group SHINee (they are under SM Entertainment) in which he is the main vocalist.

Jonghyun has been involved with music ever since he was a teenager. In high school, he was part of a band named ‘Zion’ in which he was the bassist. They played at many local festivals and eventually, he was spotted by an SM Ent. employee. He joined the company in 2005 after passing the audition. He debuted with SHINee on May 22nd, 2008.

In late 2010, Jonghyun joined TRAX’ Jay, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun and Jino on SM Ent.’s project ‘SM The Ballad’ (basically a ballad sub-unit). Their first single was the song Miss You.

Jonghyun has composed lyrics for many songs and not only for SHINee; songs like IU’s Gloomy Clock, Taemin’s Pretty Boy

Downtown Na Na Na Na

Hey there and Merry Christmas!

Winter break if finally here! It’s kinda crazy to think this year is almost over, everything went by so fast.. but what’s better to celebrate the holidays than a girls’ hangout?

Last Friday me, Bruna, Joana and Rita caught the train to Lisbon’s downtown to spend some time together and see the christmas street decor (and obviously to shop). I took the chance to vlog a little for ThatsBeautyInsider!

I always love to go to Lisbon’s downtown because it’s one of the most beautiful cities in Portugal, it’s really different from where I live (all though it’s pretty close). The weather is amazing and there’s always somewhere new to visit.

This time we started by visiting the fashion and design museum (free entrance!!) which we had been to before, but they always have new exhibitions so we visited it again. This time their main exhibition was about classic ballet fashion, it was beautiful!

After that we went to Terreiro do Paço to take some photos by the river and see some more Christmas decor.

We also visited Chiado and obviously passed by Starbucks to get a warm drink hahah 🙂

Fun fact… when we were on our way back to the train station we took an alternative route where I found a store I had no idea we had in Portugal, Benefit! I was shocked to be honest! Benefit is one of my favorite makeup brands but I thought the only way of buying their products was by ordering online. Guess not! It’ll obviously be my must-stop store next time I visit downtown 😀

And that was the best (and honestly all I did) this weekend hahaha

I’m really low on winter break activities, but I don’t want to be at home the whole time… any suggestions?

GOSSIP TUESDAY: JARIANA

Jariana is over again? Things got a little suspicious after Ariana’s grandfather sadly passed away the past 23rd of July. Aparantly everyone she loves flew to Florida to give her the support she needed except for Jai who I assume has been really busy lately because of the new Janoskians “Got Cake?” Tour and their movie, but for Ariana that wasn’t justifying as she posted this on her twitter not long after:

And that was the last hint we got that Jariana was over that wasn’t really clarifying untill just a couple days ago during the ceremony of the MTV VMAs. If you guys don’t know what I’m talking about cos you didnt get to watch them live don’t worry cos I was spending sometime over at my grandma’s town (that is literally in the middle of nowhere without wifi or more than 9 channels) and I only found out about it today. Aparantely the backstage cameras caught Ari and her new love holding hands and all giggly. Curious to find out who? Well sit down so you don’t fall because that almost happened to me. Any guesses? Well try to think of someone she has been collabing with a lot lately and that has been one of her biggest supports lately. Still nothing? I understand I’ll just reveal it now and end your misery, here’s the ultimate proof:

Yeeeep that’s it, Ariana holding hands with Big Sean in the backstage of the VMAs. In my eyes, it totally dropped like a bomb in the fandom, I did NOT see that coming. To be honest I was still slightly hoping Jariana wasn’t over as they are my OTP but at the same time, Jai doesn’t seem to be taking this as bad as the last time since he had a major break down last time they broke up, which makes this even more suspicious. Maybe Jai isn’t into Ariana as he was before? I don’t know to me he always seemed to be the one who put more effort into the relationship and Ariana was the one who decided to end things this time. Do you guys think her relationship with Big Sean is just a marketing strategy? Well we can expect anything from Scooter Braun (her manager) since her relationship with Nathan Sykes was almost obviously fake, but maybe this time is different. We never know, our idols never cease to surprise us.

Heyaaaa! Today was so different from yesterday, I was actually feeling happy for no reason, who doesn’t love that feeling? It was probably because I didn’t went to Math hahah yeah I had a ophthalmology consultation or whatever it’s called …

WHY MONDAYS?

Hey hey!
Hope everyone had nice Monday 🙂 mine was lame as fuck, it started terribly with that monthly unpredictable visitor that made me not being able to do PE. Math class was kinda different today, we had this activity going on at the Library so class was spent there. After a bunch of other lame classes, thank goodness it was lunch time!

We had lasagna for lunch omg ❤️ We spent the whole afternoon at Joana’s so we could finish this Geography project we’ve been dragging forever about Comic Relief (we’re obviously mentioning One Direction and Little Mix hahah)

We also had a hysterical moment when we finally watched “Real Girls Eat Cake” music video by The Janoskians! Let me just tell you, it made my day 62823737 times better omg ❤️ If you haven’t watched it yet, click here ! And if you don’t know who The Janoskians are, you’ve been REALLY missing out!

THE RELIEF OF FRIDAY

OMG finally the weekend
This week has been so tiring, so many group projects, so many tests, homeworks GEEZ and the math extra classes seemed to last forever, it was yesterday but I barely remember a word my tutor said hahaha
The weekend always makes you feel so relaxed, even if you have to wake up early like I had today. And it gets better now that the weather is so nice! Speaking of weather, on my birthday I got soo many nice stuff that I really wanted to show you but.. no camera or laptop ugh I hate this.

When I got home yesterday I was soo happy when mom said we were going to the mall to have dinner because I really wasn’t feeling like staying at home on a Friday night. Yes I wanted to relax, but having dinner out it’s always good because it changes your routine!
